Upon receiving alerts this morning of 🧊 activity in Compton, we made sure to do what we needed to do to protect the community. The LA Rapid Response network was alerted and we sent an email to Compton City Council alerting them and asking what the plan of action is. So far we have received a confirmation of receipt from Councilman Bowers and Councilman Spicer.

Prior to the departure of City Manager Hopkins, we had a system set up to alert the city of credible threats and an alert would go out using the city’s emergency alert system. We’re hoping we can put this into place again.

Until then, stay alert, stay vigilant and report suspected activity to the Rapid Response hotline at 888-624-4752.
