After passing the bar, Elizabeth was officially sworn in by Judge Kelvin D. Filer on April 24, 2026. We are thrilled to see her begin this next chapter as a Special Education Attorney. We know she will continue serving our community with the same passion, dedication, and commitment that have already made such an impact at CLI.
Elizabeth earned her bachelor’s degree in Biological Anthropology and Black Studies from UC Santa Barbara. After graduation, she worked in education, supporting students through high school AVID programs and community college writing initiatives. Her focus soon shifted to advocating for students with disabilities, leading her to attend Southwestern Law School. Elizabeth first joined the team in May 2025 as a Summer Legal Fellow and quickly became a valued member of our organization. She later transitioned into the role of Legal Assistant, where she helped lead our Special Education team under the mentorship of our Pro Bono Special Education Attorney, Rosa Hirji, Esq., and the Law Office of Hirji, Chau & Rodriguez
