BREAKING NEWS!!! Good morning Family, Friends and FB. First off I will like to thank all the skaters, supporters, sponsors, organizations and surrounding communities for making the Commerce Parks Foundation Skatepark Project a reality. We attended the Commerce City Council meeting last night in which the Council members voted yes on the final approval of construction, not only of the Skatepark but it will also contain a walking trail and nine-hole disc golf course at the same location. We also present Lacey Dingman the Parks and Recreation Director a $25,000 check. In addition, we are in the process of gathering all the names for the brick donor program that many of you sponsored and we want to make sure that you are recognized and your brick is in the park's design. Thank you so very much!!!

We are So Very Grateful and very Ecstatic!! The City Manager Presented to the City Council, at the meeting last night, a proposal that they approve the Active Pursuit of a Texas Wildlife Parks & Recreation Grant. It is a matching grant, of $150,000, this means we Commerce Parks Foundation & the City must contribute $75,000. The Grant will be used to build a Skatepark in Commerce, walking trails & a frisbee golf course out in the Eddie Moore Park area. The City Council unanimously approved!!!! This means, folks, we are so much closer to this Project becoming a Reality! Wish us luck!! Thank you for you continued support, we appreciate all of you very much!
