🍀 Thinking About Joining 4-H? 🍀
As a new school year begins, it's a great time to learn about all the opportunities 4-H has to offer!
The Comfrey Comets would love to welcome new members. And remember, 4-H is about much more than livestock and the fair. Kids can explore interests like gardening, robotics, photography, baking, woodworking, fishing, shooting sports, dogs, livestock, and so much more.
Through hands-on projects, youth develop valuable life skills including leadership, responsibility, public speaking, recordkeeping, community service, and teamwork. The fair is just one part of the experience. The real value is everything kids learn and accomplish throughout the year.
📅 The new 4-H year begins October 1.
If you're interested in joining 4-H, we recommend contacting the UMN Extension Brown County 4-H at 507-794-7993. They can help you find clubs, projects, and meeting information that fit your family's interests.
The Comfrey Comets meet on the first Sunday of each month at 3:00 PM, and we'd love to have you visit!
🐑 And no, you don't need to live on a farm or own livestock to be in 4-H. There are projects for nearly every interest. 📸 🌻
4-H helps kids build confidence, learn new skills, make friends, and discover new passions. We may be a little biased, but we think it's one of the best opportunities available for young people!
