Mo money for pigs 501(c)3 pig rescue fund i have decided to become a pig-lanthropist. in may of 2013 I was attacked by a dog. I had both of my ears chewed off. I got infections.

I was in and out of surgery for the next few months. more and more tissue had to be removed. them more tissue died and more removed. it was a very horrible time for me and my family. I got to thinking just how blessed of a pig I am. first of all, I survived. then, I had the best medical care. I have a family that loves me and could afford the veterinarian care. not all pigs can say that! I thought

on that more and more. I would lay awake at night worrying about other pigs. I told mum that we needed to do something about it. mo money for pigs was born. mo money for pigs offers help to all pigs on a case by case basis. while money is never given to individuals, we do pay for fees and costs associated with the health and care of all pigs. we offer a hand up, not a hand out. now for the business stuff...........how we work..... donations are given either for a specific pig or for general use. if we do not get enough for a specific pig we take from the general fund if any is available. if we get more than we need for a specific pig you may ask for your donation to be returned or allow it to go into general funds. final results are posted for each and every fund raiser. please watch for these and then contact me if you do wish your money back. this is an an all volunteer organization. as such, there is not always someone available to offer assistance. we will do our best to respond to each and every message received. generally, you will have a response within 24 hours or less. there are rare times that we cannot. with all our hearts we wish we could help each and every emergency that comes our way. sadly this is just not humanly possible.

AUGUST NUMBERS

if you have any questions please ask. each month we give a snapshot of what happened that month. this does not reflect the amount in the general fund. to get that information you would need to keep track numbers each month. or ask us. we have always been 100% transparent.

prices have gotten stupid high. a ct was once $600 or $700. now they are $1500 to $2000. if we do not have a healthy general fund then we run into problems like we did with hoover. in this case his projected costs were several thousand more than we had. between all of you stepping up and Helping Pigs In Need Auction Group we would not have had a chance at trying to save him. thank you. unfortunately for most pigs that come to us for help their needs are great. they require a large down payment even before we can fund raise. if the general fund cannot cover that then................

facebook fund raisers are great. we are thankful for the birthday shares and the donations made on this page for each pig when asked. just know we get one payment a month from facebook for everything collected from all fundraisers. again with hoover, the donations were awesome, but we will not see that money until the end of september.

we are all heartbroken over loosing hoover. seems there was a tumor that had attached to the intestines. it was inoperable.

i have no words right now. we are all crushed by this news. please allow me some time to ugly cry for a bit. it has been a stressful few weeks.

hoover is in surgery.

it is pretty rare. i see mom tear up when she is talking to a vet, but she did talking about hoover. his chances are not good. they are not sure what is wrong. of the possibilities, they are not sure it can be corrected. so many uncertainties. but one thing we know for sure, hoover will get his chance.

we are desperate for funds to cover this. show us that you think hoovers life is worth stepping out in faith that everything will turn out ok.

HOOVER update

if you have been following, hoover has had issues p**ping for months. his mom, miss christine, did all the right things to get him to p**p. and he did! until a few weeks later and back to no p**p. she did all the right things again and got p**p. then back to no p**p.

we got hoover in at quakertown because all this stop and go was just NOT right. there had to be something wrong. they did some imaging. the vet was not quite sure if there was a blockage or some sort of abnormality. either way, we were told this was beyond what they felt they could do at their clinic.

once hoover got home we w ere hoping it was a massive blockage so back to doing all the right things again. his mom got him to p**p a few times. we really thought we were getting somewhere. then what started coming out started switching from maybe it is p**p to what the hell is that?!?!

hoover arrived at new bolton this morning. they have him scheduled for some imaging tomorrow. mum is waiting to talk with the tech or the vet to go over the treatment plan.

in the meantime new bolton wants $2000 down. we do have that. but we do not have enough for the surgery. again, have not gone over the treatment plant, but if it costs the $6000 mo money for pigs will need to close all accounts and close down. then mum will need to cover that $1500 or so out of pocket.

now is the time to donate more so than ever before. i cannot take listening to mum cry at night because mo money for pigs is failing.

today is the day! she is off to the vet to have that mammary glad taken lump removed. prayers is it nothing much. if that is not the case then prayers it can be completely removed with no after effects.
