Well.. today’s homeschool lesson involves geography, math, Bible study 📖, socialization, and so much more!
Athena Strand’s Army and Presley Monroe Farms came together to bring our fire departments and volunteer firefighters snacky-snacks of all kinds. Rye traveled to Sam’s Club in Lawton- she knew we were hitting 3 different locations and needed to provide them with healthy, nutritious snacks as well as comfort snacks as they see the good, the bad, and the ugly. (I say they need comfort snacks so they do) I taught Rye about how these men and women respond to medical calls, fire calls, and missing people calls, and do so much for their communities. They even help get cats stuck in trees down!
Rye had to count out 3 of each type of snacks we picked and helped deliver them! She got to meet and speak to firefighter Matt with the Duncan, Ok fire department and Holden of the Meridian Volunteer Fire Department.
We have one more volunteer fire department to hit today, and it’s the one that covers our farm 🤍 We are waiting on one of their guys to get off work to accept the snacks.
I have the Wise and Jack County (Texas) DA and the Wise County (Texas) District Judge working on getting us ways to help their first responders. I also have a contact in the Palo Pinto area asking as well.
We ask for you all to join us in helping. These men and women fight everyday to help protect our communities, our homes, and our farm lands. I will never forget the men and women that spent many long hours in the cold looking for my baby, Athena 💝
If you have the time and resources, please donate food and water to your local fire departments and volunteer departments 🤍 and above all else, keep them in your prayers. Southern Oklahoma and North Texas have been sending smoke signals back and forth for too long now.
Matthew 25:35 says, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in."
Isaiah 58:10 “and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness and your night will become like the noonday”
James 2:15-17, “Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one says to him, ‘go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
Thank you to the people that support our farm page. Every like, comment, and share helps us support our community and our farm.
And a special thank you to all of our nonprofit supporters and donors. Every dime, nickel, and penny that we receive helps us impact individual families in tragedy, students through scholarships, teachers through the sunshine award, and our communities. We absolutely could not do this without every single one of you!
