Had the honor of teaching DARE lesson 2 last week and then speaking at the Goddard USD265 DARE Graduation today. I speak at many graduations throughout the state of Kansas so you may be asking why this one was so important. Well it’s because my granddaughter Grace was in this DARE class. I love my job! Thank you Chief Camp, Officer Ryan Lamar, Officer Wyatt Pulver, Officer Shannon Heath and Officer Justin Malcom.

Kansas Juvenile Officers Association Announces Refreshed Logo

Since 2009, the Kansas Juvenile Officers Association (KSJOA) has proudly served as a professional organization and resource dedicated to supporting juvenile officers, school-based law enforcement personnel, and students across the State of Kansas.

As KSJOA continues to grow and advance its mission, the Association is excited to officially announce the adoption of a refreshed organizational logo.

Over the past nine months, the KSJOA Board of Directors, Board Representatives, and Board Liaisons engaged in thoughtful discussions regarding the future identity of the Association and established a special task force to develop recommendations for an updated logo design. Following careful consideration and review, the Board of Directors unanimously approved the new logo.

Our Mission
KSJOA remains committed to providing leadership, training, collaboration, and professional support for juvenile officers and school-based law enforcement personnel throughout Kansas.

Our Logo
The refreshed KSJOA logo was thoughtfully designed to reflect the Association’s mission, values, and continued commitment to Kansas youth and school safety.

Centered within the outline of the State of Kansas is a shield representing protection, service, and partnership. Inside the shield, the figures symbolize the students served by juvenile officers across the state, while the star represents law enforcement. The heart at the center of the shield reflects compassion, mentorship, and the care officers bring to their work with young people every day.

The wheat surrounding the shield reflects Kansas heritage while also carrying forward an important symbol from the Association’s original logo.

Together, the refreshed logo represents the strong partnership between law enforcement, schools, communities, and the students KSJOA members proudly serve.
