Another amazing G&S College Tour is officially in the books!
This year our young men had the opportunity to walk the campuses of Morgan State University, Coppin State University, and the one and only Howard University. On Saturday, we spent the afternoon at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, connecting with the stories, struggles, and triumphs that shaped our journey in this country.
We also had some unforgettable experiences along the way. The boys met Washington, D.C. icon Virginia Ali, the legendary co-founder of Ben’s Chili Bowl. They enjoyed lunch there and were able to absorb the history and pride of one of the most important Black-owned establishments in the city. On top of that, they had the incredible honor of meeting David Turner, the 37th International President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. — a powerful example of leadership, scholarship, and service.
What makes the Gentlemen & Scholars College Tour truly unique is that it’s not just a trip—it’s the culmination of 10 weeks of discipline, teamwork, and personal growth. These young men have spent the fall in rigorous training sessions, step practice, waltz rehearsals, and preparing for the Mr. Magnificent Pageant, which they hosted with excellence. By the time we hit the road, they’ve built a brotherhood rooted in accountability, respect, and shared purpose.
A heartfelt thank you to all of the parents, family members, and donors whose support makes experiences like this possible. Your love, trust, and generosity truly shape the path these young men are walking.
A very special thank you to Karim Jackson and the City of Columbus My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Columbus Initiative for your generous support. Your investment in our mission helps us continue creating life-changing opportunities for the next generation of leaders.
Please enjoy and celebrate these incredible young men with us. The future is bright.
