Troop 6 Sea Base Wednesday and we are officially in the final countdown...... D-15 until this crew launches on an epic Echo Sailing adventure. Tonight’s festivities included the always-loved swim test... again... followed by many, many laps with gear. Motivation and shenanigans remain at an all-time high, which is usually a solid indicator these teenage boys are either fully prepared or completely unaware of what awaits them somewhere between open water, salt spray, and questionable sleep schedules.
Tonight also reinforced an important Sea Base truth: when a Scout confidently says, “Yeah, I can swim,” there’s about a 73% chance two adults immediately stop what they’re doing, stare into the distance like Vietnam flashbacks just kicked in, and begin calculating flotation device requirements and rescue angles.
Great work by the crew tonight. Keep hydrating, keep swimming, and remember, fins are your friend, panic is not, and sunscreen is no longer optional. Enjoy the long weekend as next tuesday we will see who ate too many hamburgers..... Be Prepared!

Troop 6 Tuesday and the boys were hard at work sharpening those basic Scout skills and helping several of our younger Scouts climb the trail toward their next rank. Crazy to sit back and watch some of our older Scouts roll into the meeting driving themselves, knowing it wasn’t that long ago they were standing there trying to remember which end of the rope made the square knot. Time moves faster than a Highland charge downhill with bagpipes playing in the background.
Tonight also marked PLC elections, and the troop has spoken like a gathering of Scottish clan chiefs around the fire.

Congratulations to our new youth leadership team as they prepare to lead this band of future adventurers, campers, and occasional professional snack destroyers.
Jacob B. — Senior Patrol Leader (SPL)
Ethan A. — Assistant Senior Patrol Leader (ASPL)
Andrew L. — Troop Guide
Viking Patrol
Daryl L. — Patrol Leader
Diangelo M. — Assistant Patrol Leader
Bigfoot Patrol
Myles S. — Patrol Leader
C.J. — Assistant Patrol Leader

Great job tonight by all the Scouts. The future of Troop 6 looks strong, loud, slightly hungry, and fully prepared to conquer the next adventure like tiny Scottish warriors armed with compasses, tents, and trail mix.

It’s Sea Base Wednesday and Troop 6 is back in the pool working hard to become the official Aquaman replacements for the next sequel.
The Scouts are powering through laps like future Navy SEALs, while the adults are proud to announce a major milestone… we successfully completed 2 laps without requiring a recovery boat. Progress is progress.
Scoutmaster motivation remains undefeated: “No water bottles? Outstanding… everyone down for push-ups.”
Somewhere between laps, snorkels, fins, cramps, and questionable life choices, the crew is slowly transforming into sea creatures. At this point the chlorine level in the pool may officially be 12% Scout Leader.
Reminder boys:
Be Prepared
Hydrate before Mr. Chris decides “extra conditioning” builds character
Sunscreen is not optional unless your goal is to look like a boiled lobster at Sea Base
Great work tonight crew… now go stretch muscles you didn’t even know existed.

Troop 6 Tuesday and the calendar was packed, Scout skills training, Boards of Review, and somehow several of these boys still managed to battle light rain, school band and sports practices, and the usual weeknight chaos just to show up and support their troop. That kind of commitment says a lot about this group. We even got to see 2 of our older Eagle Scouts who stopped by to see everyone.
The night wrapped up on a high note as we welcomed our newest Star Scout, Andrew L. It’s been a real pleasure watching this young man grow in confidence, leadership, and skill over the years. Milestones like this don’t happen by accident, they come from hard work, persistence, and a willingness to keep showing up even when life gets busy although Andrew accordingly to Andres " and my parents constantly reminding me".....lol.
Proud of this crew and the momentum they continue to build. Troop 6 keeps moving forward.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible Troop 6 moms, grandmothers, and mother figures who keep this adventure rolling strong.
Thank you for the countless rides, forgotten gear rescues, last-minute uniform sewing, campout prep, snack packing, encouragement, patience, and for somehow surviving stories that begin with “So… the Scouts thought it was a good idea…”
Behind every successful Scout is a mom who has probably washed mud out of a uniform at 10 p.m., reminded someone where their neckerchief is 47 times, and still showed up smiling for the next adventure.
Today we celebrate you — the real masters of preparedness, logistics, and controlled chaos. Troop 6 appreciates everything you do to help shape these young men into leaders of character.
We hope your day is filled with peace, laughter, coffee that stays hot, and absolutely no one asking, “Mom, where’s my flashlight?”
Happy Mother’s Day from Troop 6!
