Today is World AIDS Day, a day to honor the lives of those affected by HIV. This year the theme is "Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response."

Amid intense fights to defend HIV funding, we are at a critical moment for the HIV response. That's why this year we're urging people to honor World AIDS Day by telling Congress to pass a funding bill which ensures access to critical and affordable HIV care.

In 2025, Georgia became the state with the highest rate of new HIV diagnoses in the country, meaning we play a key role in ending the HIV epidemic. We at Georgia Equality honor those who were taken too soon by HIV by continuing the fight for the rights of those living with HIV and for their access to comprehensive care.
