What if trauma-informed care was accessible to everyone who needed it?

That’s part of the vision behind SOLID Alliance Ministries.

There are people walking through the aftermath of violence, exploitation, abuse, and trauma who need more than information. They need someone willing to sit with them in the hard places.

There are also caregivers—chaplains, advocates, social workers, ministry leaders, and organizations—who spend their days caring for people in crisis and need support themselves.

SOLID exists to help bridge that gap through trauma-informed spiritual care, education, and support.

But making that care accessible requires a community willing to invest in the mission.

Your generosity helps make care possible.

A monthly gift helps sustain SOLID’s operations. One-time gifts help us provide direct support and educational programs to people and organizations with limited resources.

We’re building something that we believe can make a meaningful difference.

That is why SOLID exists.

SOLID was created to equip frontline workers, faith communities, healthcare teams, students, and organizations with trauma-informed spiritual care that honors the dignity and humanity of every person.

Because words matter.
Presence matters.
Faith matters.
And how we respond to people in crisis matters.

My prayer is that SOLID becomes a place that equips others to sit with suffering, advocate for the vulnerable, and offer hope in places that often feel dark.

Thank you to those who have encouraged, prayed, shared ideas, and believed in this vision. You are helping build something that I believe will impact lives far beyond what we can currently see.

Some of the deepest wounds people carry are the ones no one can see.

At SOLID Alliance Ministries, we believe trauma-informed spiritual care has the power to bring hope, dignity, and healing to people experiencing crisis, abuse, exploitation, grief, and trauma.

Our mission is to equip frontline workers, healthcare teams, chaplains, churches, and nonprofits with practical tools to care well for those walking through their darkest moments.

Healing begins when people are seen, heard, and valued.

Thank you for joining us as we build a community committed to compassionate care, advocacy, and hope.

Bessel van der Kolk teaches us that trauma-informed healing begins when we cultivate genuinely safe relationships that restore meaning and connection.

Victim Advocates are at risk to develop secondary trauma stress due to their exposure to trauma. Providing care to victims of Human Trafficking, sexual assault, domestic assault, and gender based violence does not come without an occupational hazard.

SOLID is committed to raising awareness for these risk factors and provide informational programs that will directly support these frontline workers to promote emotional/ spiritual wellbeing that will contribute to retention and resiliency.

This is the bench that I sat at in tears trying to catch my breath before heading back into the hospital to be at my dad’s side while he was dying.

I just returned for the first time in 5 years to this exact spot. I remember it was there I wish anyone would just sit next to me while I fell apart. I was holding everything together to appear strong and calm for my dad and my family. But internally I was not ok. I chose to step away for some fresh air.

It was through this experience of being surrounded by people yet feeling so alone, I knew I didn’t want others to experience that loneliness in a sea of people.

This has drawn me to Chaplaincy and the ministry of presence. We are able to minister to those around us just by being present.

Understanding how trauma plays a role in our spiritual care goes even further in implementing the ministry of presence and caring for one’s spirit during a time of distress.
