Incredible editorial by Mike Strandberg about the ways City Council and the Columbus city government in general continues to scavenge the Westside for parts, resources, and property while giving nothing back but budget cuts.
Remember to sign the Our City Our Say petition that’s going around right now, so that each district can elect its own representation that is truly chosen by the neighborhood, not who has all the right donors and backdoor promises lined up for billionaires.
At-large voting has produced a culture of auto-pilot governance by electeds who acquiesce to the demands of the donor class instead of their constituents, the most recent example of which is the handover of McCoy Park to the Haslam Sports Group.
