Calling all artists and crafters! We will be hosting a fairy house exhibit from October 1 - 15 this year in Glen Echo Park! We're looking for volunteers to commit to making a fairy house for the event. Volunteers will be given a base and the opportunity to select from various found materials to start the process, along with inspiration and guidance. Guess what Glen Echo? You have a voice in the City's new participatory budgeting process. How it works: residents can begin submitting ideas for projects within their neighborhood.
Each of Columbus' nine council districts gets a $1 million share of funding. Volunteer "budget delegates" from each district will work with city staff to assess submissions and turn plausible ideas into proposals with cost estimates and timelines. Submit your idea for our district here:

Glen Echo shone bright on the Fourth of July, fostering a sense of community and connection through food, conversation, and collective joy! Thanks to all who came out to volunteer, bring a dish, or donate to the event. Without our community’s support, this event would not be possible. If anyone has a yard sign still, please let us know - we will use them again next year!

Meet at the Glenmawr Median @ Cliffside Drive at 9:00 am (or 8:45 am if you're participating in the kids bike and scooter parade). ICYMI: Construction has started on the longest protected bike lane in Columbus, a 2.2-mile stretch of North 4th Street from Italian Village through the University District. The new design puts the bike lane against the curb, with parked cars serving as a buffer from traffic. Expected completion is July 2.

Construction will begin on Monday on a protected bike lane on North 4th Street from Italian Village through University District. The new design moves the bikeway against the curb and is physically protected by street parking.
