Today was an exciting day for the travelers! We began with visits to the Rehoboth Learning Centre and Gihon Women’s Empowerment Centre, two organizations serving Kitengela and working together with centre. The day ended with a lovely tour of the Sikhona shelter and sustainable teaching farm, and a fantastic meal shared with the Sikhona staff and their families. The home cooked chapati was a crowd favorite to help prepare and eat! 🧡

After a long 14 hour flight, all the US travelers have arrived in Kenya! (Minus one, Liz, who will join us tomorrow). Thanks to our awesome team of drivers, we got to see the layout of the land from the Nairobi airport to Kitengela, where we are staying for the next 4 days. We enjoyed taking in our surroundings, sharing stories over meals, and celebrating a special birthday - Kenyan Team member, Keren!

Everyone is so excited to see where the rest of our “safari” (journey) leads us. Check back in tomorrow to see! 😉
