CCSC is a community-based organization designed to enhance the promotional growth of its residents through education, politics, and civic functions throughout the entire tri-community area. The organization conducts Clean-Up Drives, promotes voter registration, encourages multi-cultural diversity and is co-founder of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park located
on Buena Vista Road/Lawyers Lane, Columbus, Georgia. operates school year (Saturdays) and summer tutorial (four weeks Monday through Friday) programs which focus on assisting students in grades 1-12 with academic subjects, with emphasis on reading and mathematics. Typically 250-300 students a year are fortunate enough to receive these tutorial services at no cost to them. The volunteer tutors are certified teachers, principals, assistant principals, paraprofessionals, retired educators, sororities and fraternities, active and graduate college students, active and graduate high school students, middle school honor roll students, military personnel and their spouses, parents and other committed members of the community. The year-round tutoring sessions foster volunteerism and satisfy community-service obligations. Any donations from an organization or business will be helpful in acquiring books, materials, computers//laptops, software, office supplies, refreshments and other operating expenses.
