FALASTEENI FACTS — MEN WHO SHAPED OUR HISTORY

In a homeland where outsiders have spent generations attempting to erase the truth, those who recorded it carried one of the greatest responsibilities.

The writers preserved our stories. The poets gave language to our pain and resistance. The journalists documented what others wanted hidden. The artists painted what could not be spoken, and the teachers made sure another generation would know who they were.

But Falasteen was also shaped by the revolutionaries, political leaders, doctors, scholars, builders and community figures who defended its people and worked toward its liberation.

They did not all serve Falasteen in the same way. Some fought with weapons, others with words, art, education, leadership and the simple refusal to let our history disappear.

Their work reminds us that resistance is not only found on the battlefield. Sometimes it is a book, a photograph, a painting, a classroom or a truth preserved long enough to reach the next generation.

These men did more than leave their mark on history. They made sure Falasteen could never be written out of it.

Their work continues through every Falasteeni who documents, creates, teaches, speaks and fights for the truth today. 🇵🇸

Falasteeni Facts: Women Who Shaped
Falasteen

In a land where outsiders have spent generations trying to erase the people, rewrite the history, and claim what was never theirs, preserving the truth became its own form of resistance.

These women were journalists, writers, photographers, educators, artists, organizers, and revolutionaries. Their work was never simply a job. They recorded what others wanted forgotten, protected stories that could have been lost, and made sure Falasteeni voices could not be written out of history.
Some carried cameras. Some carried pens. Some carried classrooms, movements, families, and entire communities.

Together, they carried Falasteen forward.
Their courage shaped our history. Their work protects our memory. And their legacy continues through every Falasteeni who refuses to forget. Most of the women featured here have passed, but the legacies they left behind are still alive. One is still with us, and her legacy is still being written.

They did not simply witness Falasteeni history. They shaped it then, and Falasteeni women continue shaping it today.

FALASTEENI FACTS — THE PLACES THEY CLAIMED AS THEIR OWN

They did not inherit an empty land.

They took over homes where families were still remembered, fields still carrying their harvests, and cities and villages already shaped by generations of Falasteeni life. Then they changed the signs, buried the original names and presented what they took as though it had always belonged to them.

But occupation does not create ownership, and a stolen home does not become yours simply because you forced its family out.

This part of Falasteeni Facts remembers these places as they truly were: living communities with names, people, histories and identities long before 1948.

Some were emptied. Some were destroyed. Some remained. But none were forgotten.
They may control what appears on the map, but they do not control our memory.
We know their real names. We know who built them. And we know to whom they belonged.

FALASTEENI FACTS: NATURAL WONDERS

From the green hills and flowing springs to the salt waters and ancient valleys, Falasteen’s natural wonders carry the beauty and memory of our land.

Some Falasteeniya were born only a few miles away from these places yet have never been allowed to see them. Others can look toward the land their families came from but cannot cross the checkpoints, walls, borders, and restrictions separating them from home. Millions of Arabs are denied the freedom to visit places that belong to their history, their people, and their land.

These are not foreign destinations. These are our valleys, our mountains, our waters, and our home.

They have always been ours, and one day, we will return to them.

Comment below if you’ve been able to see any of these beautiful places.

Part 2 of our Falasteeni Facts series

This time, we’re exploring the Palestinian thobe and the language of tatreez. From Ramallah and Al-Bireh to Bethlehem, Gaza, Al-Khalil, Yafa, Bir al-Saba’ and beyond, each region developed its own styles, colors, stitches, and motifs.

A thobe was never just something to wear. It could carry the story of a village, the landscape around it, family traditions, everyday life, and generations of Palestinian identity stitched into cloth.

And this is only a small look at the many thobes and motifs across Palestine.

Al-Bireh has always been known for education, ambition, and excellence. Even through generations of struggle, Palestinians have continued to lead as doctors, teachers, engineers, artists, business owners, and scholars across the world.

In a world that too often tries to paint us as the villains, it’s important to recognize our achievements. We do not need to prove our worth to anyone, but our success speaks for itself. No matter the obstacles placed in front of us, Palestinians continue to rise, create, and excel in everything we do.

Congratulations to all Palestinian Graduates of 2026. Your achievement is more than a diploma, it is part of a legacy of resilience, knowledge, and perseverance. 🇵🇸
