Nah.
Black people did that, not Biden OR Clinton.
I was there when the CBC (Congressional Black Caucus) voted for THAT crime bill because Black people had gotten hooked out on "Big Meechie's" crack co***ne epidemic out of the Deet - the same one started by Ronald Reagan, along with AIDS, in the 1980s.
Next thing we know, we look up, and Black people are doing drugs until their eyeballs fell out, all up in the 'hood and anywhere else they wanted to be - selling it, and killing people over it.
New Jack City wasn't just a movie - it was THE TRUTH.
Black people killing each other over over-priced bling, blood diamonds that came from a bloody country called Rwanda, some from Uganda - Black people spilling blood even in Africa over something that belonged to them that they let white people steal from them, then sell back to them like it wasn't theirs from the start.
Blood was coursing through these streets and no one knew what to do about it. Blkppl killing each other over J's (expensive sneakers), bomber jackets, gold chains, blingy diamond crap, ROLLIES, all that ... it was like COVID-19 BEFORE Covid-19 with all the funerals going on - for YOUNG PEOPLE, at that.
Couldn't even go to a basketball court, or the Mom & Pops down the street without risking being killed, and honestly, IT HAS NOT ENDED. Little ol' "Columbus" still has more than 80 gangs listed, and as recently as last week, they're still killing one another. YOUNG BLACK PEOPLE, mostly.
Of course ...
They were warned that "Three Strikes" laws were going to lead to racial profiling and the locking up of mostly Black people over petty crimes, but that was really our fault for even messing with that in the first place.
WE demanded that Washington help us with the drug traffickers, the kidnapped and missing children, the rapes, the killings ... and that is what they came up with.
It petered out over some time, but it has NOT ended to this day.
A lot of innocent or mostly innocent people got swept up in the trap 'em wave, and we even had Black cops trying to play "superhero" - entrapping other Black people to get the deep ones into prison.
That Black cop on the "BMF" documentary was a real thing, too. It actually happened.
I can't blame Biden, or Clinton, for doing what we did to ourselves...and still haven't stopped doing.
Do I feel bad for the innocent, or lightweights, who got locked up? Of course, I do.
But we need to stop and take a look at OURSELVES this time. WE need to take responsibility for this mess. Joe Biden ain't living our lives, and he shouldn't have had to be asked for help in the first place. WE should have had this handled a long time ago.
This ends when we end it, and not two seconds sooner than that. Blaming other people for trying to help US figure out how to handle it simply isn't going to work any more.
