Despite modern culture's call for us to be independent, self-made and isolated, community is a vital part of the vision of Global Connections. We want to be involved in community wherever we live - to encourage, give and build into one another.

Sometimes connection looks as simple as sitting side by side with a box of crayons. ❤️

Different backgrounds. Different stories. But in moments like this, none of that matters. It’s simply two children creating, sharing, and enjoying time together.

This is one of the things we love most about our time in Kenya—the reminder that meaningful relationships often begin by simply showing up, sitting together, and finding joy in what we share.

They are called “Mums” for a reason. ❤️

At Limuru Children’s Centre, these incredible women do so much more than provide daily care.

They are the first to comfort a frightened child. The first to celebrate a new milestone. The first to wipe away tears, soothe fevers, sing lullabies, and rock little ones to sleep.

They become the safe place these children run to when they’re hurt, scared, or simply need to be held.

For many of these babies, their LCC Mum is the first consistent source of love, security, and attachment they’ve ever known. Through thousands of ordinary moments—feeding, playing, changing diapers, cuddling, and praying over them—they help lay the foundation for healthy emotional development and teach each child what it feels like to be deeply loved.

While we pray every child will one day find a forever family, these amazing women make sure they never have to wait for love.

Their work may seem ordinary, but its impact is extraordinary. It is changing lives one hug, one smile, and one child at a time.

Thank you to our LCC Mums for loving these precious children so faithfully. You are making an eternal difference. 💚

The children at Limuru Children’s Centre recently enjoyed a fun and practical cooking lesson as they learned how to prepare potato wedges. After working together in the kitchen, they shared a delicious meal of potato wedges, chapati, and stew—and there was plenty of excitement as they tasted the food they had helped prepare.

Moments like these are about so much more than cooking. They help build confidence, teach valuable life skills, encourage teamwork, and prepare these children for greater independence in the future.

Thank you for partnering with Global Connections to invest in the lives of these incredible children. Every opportunity to learn is another step toward a brighter future.

A decade ago, a catastrophic fire resulted in the loss of everything, including his legs, career, confidence, independence, and former way of life. For the next ten years, his world was limited to a wheelchair.

However, divine intervention brought about a remarkable transformation. Isn't it remarkable what can be achieved through God?

📚 Help Build a Library of Faith, Learning & Hope in Kenya! 🇰🇪

Imagine being a child who loves to learn but has very few books to read.

Global Connections is partnering with Corine Fountain Academy, a Christ-centered school in Seka, Kenya, to help provide books that will strengthen literacy, encourage a love of learning, and point students to Jesus.

Today, nearly 600 students attend this growing school, and we’re raising $2,500 to provide books and cover the cost of getting them into the hands of these eager young readers.

Every gift makes a difference:
📖 $15–$25 provides a book for a student.
📚 $100 helps stock multiple classrooms.
❤️ $500 helps build a library that will serve students for years to come.

Together, we can help these children grow academically, spiritually, and in their knowledge of God’s love.

This precious grandmother reminded us that every person has a story. Every face reflects a journey. And every life deserves dignity, love, and hope.

The LCC has introduced life skills training for their children, becoming more intentional in guiding and teaching them how to prepare different meals. This initiative began during the midterm break.

The teenagers have embraced the program positively and are eager to continue learning how to prepare various recipes, with sessions held every weekend.

“Tonight, one family will sleep in a safe home.”

What was once only a dream is now a reality. Thanks to the generosity of faithful partners, one vulnerable family has received a beautiful new brick home—a place of safety, security, and hope.

A house is more than four walls. It is where children can rest without fear, where parents can plan for tomorrow, and where a family can experience the dignity everyone deserves.

Every brick laid, every prayer prayed, and every gift given made this moment possible.

Thank you for helping us share the love of Christ in a tangible way. This is the Gospel in action.

Thirty-one people. One mission. Countless moments that will stay with us forever.

Over the past two weeks, our team had the privilege of serving alongside our friends in Kenya. We visited more than 130 homes, built a home for a family in need, celebrated with the children at Limuru Children’s Centre, encouraged widows and the elderly, partnered with local leaders, and witnessed God at work in ways we’ll never forget.

This trip wasn’t about what we accomplished—it was about the relationships we built, the lessons we learned, and the reminder that God is working all over the world. We came to serve, but we leave feeling like we’ve received so much more.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, gave, and supported this team. You were a part of every hug, every meal, every home visit, and every life touched.

Thirty-one people left as a team. We came home as family—with hearts forever changed. ❤️🇰🇪
