“For many of us, a meal is something we never have to think twice about. For the elderly men and women served through Pat’s Feeding Program, it can mean the difference between going hungry and having hope.

This powerful testimony shares why the program is so important to those it serves. Twice each month, Pat’s Feeding Program provides food and essential supplies to 400 elderly individuals in Kenya—many of whom have no other reliable source of support.

More than food, this program offers dignity, care, and the reminder that they are not forgotten. Thank you to everyone who makes it possible for this precious community to receive the help they need. A school garden may seem like a small thing, but its impact is growing every day. 🌱

Thanks to the partnership and support of friends like you, students at this school in Kenya are enjoying fresh, nutritious vegetables grown right on campus. The garden is helping provide healthier meals while also serving as an outdoor classroom where students learn valuable agricultural skills such as planting, harvesting, and crop rotation.

More than just a source of food, the garden is teaching responsibility, stewardship, and sustainability—equipping young people with practical knowledge they can carry with them for years to come.

One of a favorite visits of Global Connections’ teams in Kenya is Cheshire Home, a residential facility serving girls and young women with disabilities. Managed by the Assumption Sisters of Nairobi, Cheshire provides a safe, loving environment along with vocational training and opportunities that help residents develop confidence, independence, and hope for the future.

One of the things we love most about Kenya is the incredible sense of community.

Recently, we received an update about a man who is part of the Homebound Program, which provides monthly food support to homebound individuals in the community. He is recovering from serious medical challenges, and now his village is coming together to hold a fundraiser to help provide him with prosthetic legs.

What a beautiful picture of people caring for one another — neighbors supporting neighbors, communities carrying one another’s burdens, and hope being built together.

Please join us in praying that the fundraiser will be successful and that the needed funds will be raised so he can receive his prosthetic legs.

Right now, planning is already beginning on another home for a family in Kenya — a safe place to sleep, stay dry during the rains, and rebuild dignity and stability. For many families, a home changes everything.

The Empower to Transform Centre's youth in the woodwork program are now designing, crafting, and producing beautiful, high-quality pieces with excellence and pride. Many of them came in without direction… and today, they are gaining real skills, discipline, and a renewed sense of purpose.

And this is just the beginning.

They are preparing to take the next step: launching a furniture business outlet. This will create a pathway for these young men and women to begin earning—while others continue to be trained. We are intentionally walking with them from being students… to becoming income earners and contributors in their communities.

This is what your support makes possible.
This is dignity. This is transformation.

Term one is complete, and these incredible students are so grateful to be back in school. What may feel ordinary to us—classrooms, uniforms, learning each day—is a gift that is reopening doors for them to hope, to dream, and to believe in a brighter future. Education is more than lessons and books. It’s dignity. It’s opportunity. It’s the chance for these children to discover who they were created to be.

This family once lived in a fragile mud house, exposed to the harsh conditions and uncertainty. Today, by the grace of God, they are standing in front of a new, safe, and dignified home.
