Simple Suppers We are a hands-on nutrition education and cooking program focusing on healthy and engaged family meals for families with young children.

Simple Suppers was designed to help families prepare simple, affordable, healthy meals together at each step – meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, table preparation, and clean-up. Each week of programming offers you and your child the opportunity to learn new meal planning and cooking skills - and new tasty recipes as well! Our goal is to help you create healthier family mealtime routines, a

nd ultimately help you and your family create healthy habits that last a lifetime. As a team from Columbus Urban League and Ohio State, we work to bring you and your family programming each week. We look forward to getting to know you – and to be a part in making your supper, simpler.

You CAN eat well-balanced while you're on the go.
When eating in at a restaurant or ordering take out, have a plan!
You can choose a drink without added sugar, have some veggies with your meal, and eat as much of the portion you're hungry for, and save the rest as leftovers for a time you won't have to cook another meal.
Eating healthy doesn't have to be complicated - you can meet your and your family's goals by planning ahead to meet your and your family's goals.

Getting your children involved in selecting a vegetable, helping you prepare it, talking about why it's good for you, and cleaning up dishes are all ways you can connect with your child during the family mealtime.
