Some people give their time. Some people give their resources. And then there are people like Kelly, who give their whole heart.
Last night, our President and Coordinator, Kelly Sullivan, was honored as the Good Neighbor Award winner for the entire state of Indiana by the Indiana Association of REALTORS®.
There are truly no words big enough to explain how proud we are of her.
Kelly is the heart behind so much of what happens at Bartholomew County Toys for Tots. She gives countless hours, carries the stress no one sees, answers the calls, solves the problems, plans the events, raises the money, rallies the community, and somehow always finds a way to do just a little bit more.
But what makes Kelly so special isn’t everything she does. It’s why she does it.
She genuinely loves this community. She cares deeply about the families we serve and the children who depend on this program. To Kelly, they aren’t numbers on a list. They are our neighbors. They are our families. They are kids who deserve to wake up on Christmas morning knowing someone cared about them.
Those of us who work beside her see the hours that never make it into a Facebook post. We see the late nights, the phone calls, the worry, the tears, the celebrations, and the determination to make sure no child is forgotten.
And for some of us, we are lucky enough to know that heart outside of Toys for Tots, too.
Kelly, we could not be prouder of you.
You have spent years making sure other people feel seen, supported, loved, and cared for. Last night, an entire room got to celebrate you, and an entire state got to see what we already knew.
You are one of the good ones.
Congratulations, Kelly. No one deserves this moment more.
