What a wonderful day at Wesley Methodist today as we celebrated our 70th Homecoming Celebration! So many old friends and family came to worship, visit, and enjoy lunch - 160 in attendance! It’s hard to describe and show all the smiles and hugs that were everywhere. God is good! All the time! 🙌🏻❤️🙏

Join us tomorrow at Wesley Methodist for a special day in God’s Church! Seventy years of God being faithful. We aren’t simply celebrating the birthday of a building or the anniversary of an organization. We are celebrating the faithfulness of God and the people He has used to carry His church forward. 🙌🏻

There is not a day that goes by without me seeing posts about fear and anxiety that we are letting control our lives. No matter our perspective or thoughts on political, social, personal, and/or spiritual issues, if we succumb to the “fear mongers,” whether we want to believe it or not we have turned our belief from a loving, saving God who is the ultimate victor, to falling into Satan’s trap of deception. And, the stronger we are in our faith, the more aggressive Satan will come to dismantle our beliefs and life. Satan thrives on our insecurities and is always looking for the smallest of openings to make you struggle but more directly loose faith in the only One who sent His son to die for you. Do not listen to those who seek to harm you, but stay strong in your faith, the Word, love of others, and your commitment to live a life dedicated to serving Him. I love what Isaiah 41:10 says: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Do not live anxiously or in fear, but live knowing that He is now and always will be the ultimate victor.

At some point in our lives we have all probably been a prodigal child. God waits patiently for our return and always welcomes us back into His arms. It’s never too late to celebrate your home coming!
