In conjunction with Tavares Strachan: The Day Tomorrow Began, The Columbus Museum of Art at The Pizzuti partnered with our I Am My Brother's Keeper initiative to host a special Barbershop Talks experience.

Visitors are typically not permitted to sit in the exhibit’s barbershop chairs, but a special exception was made for our youth, creating a truly memorable and immersive opportunity.

While receiving haircuts, they participated in an engaging discussion led by Dr. Judson Jeffries, Professor of African American and African Studies at The Ohio State University, exploring identity, culture, history, and community.

The soundtrack for the afternoon was a curated musical experience from Dr. Jason Rawls - Associate Professor of African American and African Studies at The Ohio State University and internationally recognized DJ.

We are incredibly grateful to the Columbus Museum of Art for making this one-of-a-kind experience possible.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so impactful. It was a powerful reminder that meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and community can inspire the next generation.
