💖 Buckeye Love in Action at Besa💖

The Scarlet and Gay Alumni Society recently had the honor of serving at Sanctuary Night, a drop‑in center that supports vulnerable womxn and serves more than 600 unique womxn each year.

Our group spent the day cleaning, organizing, and caring for the space—working together to help make it a place the women who visit Sanctuary Night can truly enjoy and cherish.

After we wrapped up, the volunteer coordinator shared: “This was the best volunteer group ever! Our space has never been so thoroughly cleaned and organized!”

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to give back and to support an organization doing such meaningful, life‑changing work in our community. Thank you to everyone who showed up with care, compassion, and a whole lot of Buckeye pride. 🌈❤️

Good morning, Buckeyes! Scarlet & Gay is still looking for volunteers for tomorrow's volunteer event!

Join the Scarlet & Gay Alumni Society on Saturday, February 21st, from 10:30am - 12:00pm, for a meaningful day of service at Sanctuary Night, a survivor‑led drop‑in center on Columbus’s West Side devoted to creating a safe, sacred space for vulnerable women seeking rest, community and essential resources.

Sanctuary Night supports women impacted by exploitation, homelessness, substance use disorders and trauma by offering meals, clothing, hygiene items, relational support and connections to needed services. As Buckeyes, we lift one another up - and this event is a powerful way to embody that spirit.

By volunteering, you’ll help provide dignity, safety and compassion to women who visit the center. Your service helps sustain a healing environment grounded in trauma‑informed, survivor‑led care.

As Buckeyes, we lift up others, and this experience powerfully embodies that spirit. Our event is open to all, including alumni, family and friends.

Together, we can make an impact on our community!

The Ohio State University Scarlet and Gay Alumni Society in collaboration with The Cheer and Brutus Alumni Societies invite you to join us this Saturday at Club Diversity as the Buckeyes take on the Wildcats!
