We are so very proud of our friend and colleague, Dr. Stefan Lawrence, a past MCSD Teacher of the Year, and proud principal of Aaron Cohn Middle School. This man has a true heart for what he does - always teaching, always setting an example, always embracing leadership. Thank you Stefan for what you do for our community’s students, and for being an outstanding role model! Muscogee County School District

Wowsa! What a commitment and investment from our community, and our public school system. And it’s not just ‘someone’ - it’s a teacher you know, a principal who goes to your church, a bus driver who’s also a community coach, a paraprofessional who used to babysit your kids, an academic coach who also struggled when she was in school, for the lunch lady who used to be your neighbor … and a thousand more. For all the people who run the Muscogee County School District and all residents who understand and appreciate the work - THANK YOU. It’s a worthwhile investment that makes our community better in every way!

Every new school year is another chance to change a life. Today, that journey begins. Thank you to every teacher in the Muscogee County School District for inspiring minds, building confidence, and shaping the future of students in our community!
Welcome back, and here's to an incredible 2026–2027 school year!

An exciting kick-off to the new school year in the Muscogee County School District for teachers from J.D Davis Elementary and Dorothy I. Height Elementary.

They are our two new ‘Buntin Schools of Excellence,’ and we couldn’t be happier with their enthusiastic response. These exceptional educators are building brains, removing barriers, doing their best for their students … and ensuring students succeed.

THANK YOU to all of you for your dedication, passion and commitment to public education and to your students!

And a huge thanks to the very generous community leaders who support this program - we are grateful!
