There's not enough words to express what this young man means to me! Saraj was one of the 1st families we served. He had a very aggressive cancer. God healed him. He's been cancer free for several years now. He will graduate from college next year. He's one of the kindest, most polite young men I've ever met. He has a tattoo on his neck with the childhood cancer ribbon. He said he uses it to tell his story.
I am always so humbled and grateful when I see one of my Scarlett's Closet kids. They will forever hold a place in my heart! 🎗️💛

A hotel sized soap and shampoo. A pack of tissues. A toothbrush and toothpaste. A journal and pen.
Individually, these items might not seem very much to you but if your child was admitted into the hospital unexpectedly, collectively they would be very valuable.
These are just a few of the items placed in the carebags from Scarlett's Closet.
In this economy $25.00 won't buy very much but it will provide a carebag for a family who is without the basic necessities we use every day. These bags also include a pocket Bible. Each bag is carefully packed and prayed over.

This passage always makes my heart so happy and tears well up in my eyes when I read it.
Here's why ...
Seven years ago, I put my " toes in the water" even though nothing made sense on paper. I knew God was calling me into full-time service to Scarlett's Closet. I spoke aloud all the reasons why I couldn't make that leap of faith.
I was miserable.
Finally, I fell on my knees and told the Lord,"Here I am Father." Every day I wake up in awe of His continued provisions for this little ministry. A heartbroken, and grief stricken grandmother was given a unique purpose to help others and honor her precious granddaughter.
What is God calling you to do that doesn't make sense on paper? He's waiting for you to put those toes in the water and show you what HE can do !

Joshua 3:15-17 (NCV) "During harvest the Jordan overflows its banks. When the priests carrying the Ark came to the edge of the river and stepped into the water, the water upstream stopped flowing. It stood up in a heap. So the people crossed over." Notice God did nothing until those toes touched the water. That first step was all God needed to see. Many times, we won’t take the first step because we’re afraid we won’t be able to make the whole journey.
Don’t wait until you believe it all.
Don’t wait until you can see it all.
Don’t wait until you understand it all.
Step out in childlike faith and put your trust in God.
He is Jehovah Jireh.
He will provide.

Today our precious Scarlett would have been 17. She now resides in heaven but her sweet life continues to touch so many through this ministry.
