Big thanks to the Chops Chicken crew and their secret oven roasted chicken and red potatoes recipe!

We handed out 50 meals in the first 5 minutes. It’s hot hot hot out today. Stay hydrated!

Over 110 meals served tonight and several dogs were fed their doggy food bags 🐕💕

Do you ever feel the tug to give something tangible or maybe even give of your time to support HOTCF largest cause?

We thought we would provide a list of needed items if that is helpful…
(Of course we would prefer enough to share with 120 friends on an average week but we could also hand out less if necessary. )

Ideas:
💡 Your time! Every Wednesday we could use an extra set of hands or 3! Anytime you could spare between 3:00 and 6:00pm. Don’t worry we will put you to work!

💡 Socks. Everyone loves a new pair of socks

💡 Toothbrush and toothpaste

💡 Any packaged treat. Snack cakes/cookies/popcorn. Individually bagged is best.

Manna Cafe A filling and delicious meal of elbow pasta and delicious meat sauce with Parmesan topping was created by Deron and served by his team of faithful volunteers. 🍝❤️

We were able to hand meals out to 120 neighbors and hand out several baggies of dog food as well 🐕 🩷

Thank you Rockford Homes for sharing your time and resources once again.

Ps. We were all able to share new socks and popsicles!!

Jim Shively and Steve Diewald along with the Kiwanis crew fed 140 hungry neighbors at Manna Cafe tonight.

That’s a wrap for July! Manna Cafe provided 5 amazing meals this month.

July 17 - Thank you Tifereth Israel for helping us feed 115 friends!

July 24 - Thank you Chops Chicken for feeding 117 friends! They always comment they can smell the roasted chicken from the street. Always a crowd pleaser!

July 31 - Thank you OCCH for a super fun catered meal from Roosters!! What a treat. I don’t remember the last time we had wings! We had 120 friends come for a meal last night.

We are always humbled by the generosity of our sponsors and could not do this without you. THANK YOU!

Deron and the crew from Rockford Homes hit a home run tonight! Manna Cafe

Pulled pork and hot chicken sandwiches with potato salad and a cookie and veggies w/ ranch. Toss in a cold soda and we had 10 friends wait over 30 minutes for a second serving!
(We start serving meals at 5:00 and hold second servings until 6:00)

Served 125 meals in all and handed out 8 baggies for their doggo friends 🐶❤️

Thank you to the great guys at Chops 🍗 Chicken 🐓 this week!
Manna Cafe fed 116 friends with their delicious roasted chicken/redskin potatoes and green bean meal. 🥘

Another successful week at Manna Cafe in the Discovery District ❤️🥗🍝
Thank you Northwest UMC for the delicious pasta meal.
Despite the intolerable heat we handed out 116 meals!!

A special thanks to the volunteer (who will remain anonymous 😉) who agreed to help her friend volunteer tonight BEFORE they went to dinner for HER birthday! 🥳🥳 Did I mention we do not have AC at BSUMC?? 🥵 She is amazing.

We are beyond thankful for our volunteers. We could not provide for our community without you all.
