HMA Streetrods

HMA Streetrods Car Club dedicated to charities HMA started as a joke. After fixing it in 90 degree weather, the men stopped at a rest stop outside Louisville to clean up.

Wilson Payne, Kelly Puckett, Tom Kavanaugh, Bob Holland, and Bob Means were headed to the 1980 NSRA Nationals in Memphis when Bob Means' lost a rear axle bearing. A man at the rest stop commented their cars were a nice hobby and Tom replied, 'Hobby My Ass, they're expensive' and it took off from there. HMA was formally founded in 1987 and we've been going strong ever since.
