Columbus City Council heard concerns from residents, questions from Council members and safety considerations from the Police Department as it reviewed proposed regulations for e-bikes, e-scooters and hoverboards.

The result? More discussion, more feedback and potential changes before the ordinance moves forward.

The way people move through Columbus is changing.

E-bikes, e-scooters and hoverboards are increasingly being used for both recreation and transportation, and the Columbus Police Department is working to make sure regulations address newer technology while providing clearer safety guidelines for residents.
