What do two Franklin alumni, 55 years apart, have in common?

More than a diploma.

Gary K. ’71 earned his bachelor’s degree from Franklin as a working adult, taking a few courses and continuing forward until he reached his goal.

Decades later, his granddaughter Andrea G. ’26 took a similar path, balancing work while earning her master’s degree from Franklin.

When Andrea discovered that Gary no longer had his original diploma, she had it reprinted for him. In the process, she uncovered a piece of their stories they both shared: finding a way to keep learning while balancing the demands of work and life.

Two alumni. Two generations. One Franklin connection.

Every Franklin alum has a story. Stacy's began with a search for a degree program and grew into a career that would take her from professional sports in North America to the Australian Open.

Along the way, she created a first-of-its-kind role, launched her own consultancy and built a career around understanding what fans want most.

Some alumni leave a legacy that lasts far beyond their own graduation day.

At Franklin's 182nd Commencement, Phil Fankhauser '68 celebrated a milestone years in the making: the first graduates of the M.S. in Professional Sales Leadership program.

A Franklin graduate, longtime board member, and dedicated supporter of the University, Phil has spent decades creating opportunities for future students. This spring, he had the chance to watch the inaugural class of a program he helped champion cross the stage.

At Franklin's 182nd Commencement Ceremony, graduates crossed the stage and joined a network of alumni making an impact in their careers, communities and industries around the world.
