Thanks to your support, compassion, and generous hearts, we were able to raise $1,200 — the full amount needed for one hearing restoration surgery for a Ukrainian soldier. 💙💛

We sincerely thank everyone who joined this important mission.
This is a post of gratitude for supporting our defenders — those who lost their ability to hear because of the war, but never lost the strength to fight for Ukraine.

Together, we are helping our warriors hear once again the voices of their loved ones, the laughter of children, and the sounds of peaceful life.

This past Sunday dressed in beautiful vyshyvankas and crowned with flower wreaths, families and friends gathered to celebrate Vyshyvanka Day with Ukrainian songs, laughter, творчість, and Ukrainian spirit. The picnic brought together generations of the community to share traditional songs, crafts, delicious homemade food, and heartfelt support for Ukraine. We thank our non-Ukrainian friends for joining us as well! From children weaving crafts to community singing and fundraising efforts, the day was filled with warmth, pride, and unity — a joyful reminder that Ukrainian culture and resilience continue to thrive wherever Ukrainians gather together. 💙💛Happy Vyshyvanka day!

💙💛From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank everyone who joined us at the Ukrainian Vyshyvanka day picnic. Thank you to all the guests, volunteers, organizers, children, and families — it was because of you that this day became so warm, heartfelt, and truly Ukrainian.

Together, we not only created an atmosphere of unity, support, and a sense of home far away from Ukraine, but we were also able to accomplish something important. During the picnic, we raised $940 to support Ukrainian soldiers who lost their hearing as a result of blast injuries. 🇺🇦

But our fundraising effort is not over. We will continue collecting donations until we raise at least enough for one hearing restoration surgery for our defender ($1200). Every contribution is a chance for someone to once again hear the voices of loved ones, the laughter of children, and the sounds of peaceful life.

Thank you for your open hearts, compassion, and love for Ukraine. 💙💛

We are moving the picnic to 4:00 PM (the date and location remain the same) due to the Ukrainian Divine Liturgy at St. John Chrysostom Byzantine Catholic Church at 2:30 PM on that day.
We warmly invite everyone to attend the Liturgy before the picnic 🙏

🇺🇦UCAO supports the “Pivnyk” Charity Foundation — an organization that helps Ukrainian veterans restore their hearing after blast-related injuries — and we are joining the fundraising effort.

The foundation is named after the legendary ceramic rooster from Borodianka, which became a symbol of the resilience and strength of the Ukrainian people. Today, “Pivnyk” gives our defenders the opportunity to once again hear the voices of their loved ones, children’s laughter, and the sounds of peaceful life. 💙💛

Thousands of veterans require complex hearing restoration surgeries, and every contribution matters. Together, we can help those who defended Ukraine.

🇺🇦 UCAO підтримує Благодійний фонд «Півник» — організацію, яка допомагає українським ветеранам відновити слух після мінно-вибухових травм, і долучаємось до збору коштів.

Фонд названий на честь легендарного керамічного півника з Бородянки — символу незламності українського народу. Сьогодні «Півник» дарує нашим захисникам можливість знову чути голоси рідних, сміх дітей та звуки мирного життя. 💙💛
