Dotti Dyer is turning 100 on October 16th!
I know some of you remember Dotti Dyer from conferences and card exchange groups. She was a very active calligrapher. She slowed down over the past decade, but her mind is still sharp and her recall is just as good as ever. Her sight is almost gone. She was a long-time docent at the Columbus Zoo. She paid her dues and worked her way up being on the esteemed Gorilla Watch, diligently taking notes throughout the night of any changes, when a female was nearing her delivery date. Dotti loved to take the midnight shift.
She was also an accomplished embroiderer. She had many projects going at once. And of course she loved to golf. One of the greens was just outside her back yard at Worthington Hills Country Club of which she was a member for years and years. She also belonged to the Worthington Hill Garden Club as long as I can remember. At least 40 years. They are planning a celebration for her on Friday, October 17 at her assisted living facility, Friendship Village of Dublin.
Her dimming eyesight has cut back on all of the pleasures she once enjoyed, including reading. She told me today her job is to live from one day to the next.
If you would like to send her a birthday card, whether you knew her or not, here's her information:

She would also enjoy hearing from you on a phone call:

She goes to dinner at 4:15, so plan accordingly.
