On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire Liberians in Columbus Inc. (LICI) family, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made our 179th Independence Celebration a tremendous success.
To our sponsors, patrons, donors, elected officials, community leaders, volunteers, performers, vendors, nurses, youth participants, parents, and every guest who joined us—thank you. Your presence, generosity, and unwavering support helped us honor Liberia’s rich history while celebrating the strength and unity of our community here in Central Ohio.
A special thank you to everyone who participated in our Flag Raising Ceremony, Gala Celebration, and Thanksgiving Service. Together, we reflected on our heritage, celebrated our culture, and strengthened the bonds that unite us as Liberians and friends of Liberia.
We are especially grateful to our Executive Director, Tendeko Mopeh-Thoma, our Board of Directors, planning committee, volunteers, and every individual who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this celebration possible.
To our healthcare professionals, especially the nurses we recognized during the gala, thank you for your compassion, sacrifice, and service to our community. Your dedication continues to inspire us all.
As we celebrate 179 years of Liberian independence, let us continue to build a stronger, more united community, preserve our heritage, and invest in the next generation.
