🔥2025 Fundraising Recap🔥

As we kick off a new year, we wanted to once again thank everyone who supported our fundraising efforts throughout 2025. Because of you, our cookouts, classes, giveaways, and The Ohio Eggfest continued to make a real difference in our community.

Together in 2025, we raised:

🎗️ $106,000 for cancer research through The James Cancer Hospital & Buckeye Cruise for Cancer at The Ohio Eggfest.

🪖 $8,500 for Honor Flight Columbus, Inc. through our Fundraiser Friday Cookouts & Summer Grilling Classes.

🎗️ $3,000 for the The PaulieStrong Foundation through our Gozney Pizza Class.

🥫 30,000+ lbs of food donated to local food banks through our 10 for 10 food drive discount.

Every event, every donation, and every can of food adds up, and we couldn’t do this without you. We’re incredibly grateful for this community and can’t wait to build on it in 2026!

As we reflect on another incredible year of The Ohio Eggfest, we’re feeling incredibly grateful for what we accomplished this year.

Because of you, this event continues to be about more than great food and Big Green Eggs. It’s about community coming together to make a meaningful change in the fight against cancer!

Our 2025 The Ohio Eggfest Impact!

We’re proud to finally share the impact of the 2025 The Ohio Eggfest!

Thanks to our cook teams, sponsors, bands, vendors, Fortress Obetz and every single person who bought a ticket, donated, entered a raffle or showed up, we raised $106,092 for cancer research benefiting Buckeye Cruise for Cancer and The James Cancer Hospital!!!

That impact became real last week when Rob dropped off the check to Buckeye Cruise for Cancer.

This event continues to be about more than great food and Big Green Eggs, it’s about community showing up for something bigger.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us turn BBQ into real, lifesaving impact.

And we’re just getting started.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This Foundation started in 2015 by Rob Schenz, Owner of Specialty Gas House in Clintonville, Ohio. He wanted to start this foundation as a way to raise money for causes near and dear to his heart, through the best way he knew how, BBQ!

Throughout the year Rob & Specialty Gas House host events to raise money for cancer research and for local Veterans. 100% of the proceeds from every event is donated to either the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer which benefits cancer research at The James Cancer Hospital or the Veterans charity, Honor Flight Columbus, Inc..

Well, I think it's safe to say, we did it again!! Another incredible, sold out, The Ohio Eggfest is in the books!

What a day. The passion, the flavor, the community, it all came together in an amazing way. And let’s be honest, it was HOT out there, but you all showed up, braved the heat, and brought the energy like champs. Rob promised it wouldn’t rain on his parade, and he delivered once again. Just maybe a little too hard. 🥵

Seeing so many people come together to celebrate BBQ, Big Green Egg, and rally behind cancer research fills us with a deep sense of pride and joy.

When we started this event 10 years ago, we never imagined it would grow into something this special. We couldn’t be more proud, or more grateful for the incredible people who make it all happen.

To our incredible cook teams, thank you for donating your time, ingredients, and talent. You absolutely crushed it. The food was insanely good, and choosing a favorite dish felt impossible.

Thank you to Fortress Obetz and the City of Obetz for giving us the perfect home to host this celebration of food, community, and purpose.

Huge thanks to The Appalachian Outlaws, AJ Angelo, Dave Powers, DJ MDizzle, and the top notch Fortress sound crew for keeping the vibes rolling all day long. And to High Performance Canines for putting on some great high energy dog shows!

To our demo team, Barrel Proof - Smoke Your Bourbon, Captain Ron Cooks, Cmac Cooks, Big Green Egg Foodie & Jeff Grubbs, thank you for sharing your skills and recipes, and for keeping things sizzling from start to finish.
