Last night, we didn’t just attend the UNCF Mayor’s Ball—we stood in a room filled with legacy, sacrifice, and the undeniable power of education to transform lives.

The Urban League of the River Valley and Urban League of the River Valley Young Professionals were honored to be present, representing a generation committed not only to success—but to access, equity, and impact.

As this may be Skip Henderson’s final Mayor’s Ball, we recognize and honor the leadership, vision, and commitment poured into creating spaces where community, education, and opportunity meet.

And when Larry Dodson hit the stage, let’s just say the room shifted—classic vibes, soulful energy, and just enough rhythm to have everybody moving in their seats (and a few out of them).

Every scholarship funded, every story shared, and every connection made is a reminder that when we invest in education, we invest in futures that will outlive us.

We don’t just show up—we show up with purpose.
