💫🌈Come sing with us! Did you see us perform Rooted and Rising and think “wow, they look like they’re having so much fun, I want to be a part of that”?

Good news! Heres how interested members can join our summer term. 🌈💫

Rehearsals for Loud and Proud start on March 22 at 3:30pm, with new singer orientation starting at 2:30pm. At this orientation you will be onboarded and learn about what it means to be a member, while meeting other new singers and board members. If you love the vibe, come back each Sunday for regular rehearsals at the same spot! Our Loud and Proud concert will be held in June, and we are so excited to sing with you!

You have ONE more chance to see Confluence in "Rooted and Rising." Last night Confluence LGBT Chorus performed in Portland. Today you can see this amazing production, under the Artistic direction of Jeff Witt, in Corvallis.
Yes, It is today at 4:30 pm at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 4515 SW West Hills Road. Come see our closing performance of this wonderful message of hope and resilience.

Last night Confluence LGBT Chorus opened the "Rooted and Rising " Concert weekend in Salem to a full house. But don't despair, you still have a chance to see it tonight in Portland at 7:30 pm at Cedar Mills UCC or tomorrow afternoon, Sunday, March 8 at 4:30 in Corvallis at First Congregational UCC . Tickets can be purchased at the door but no one turned away . Please come see this amazing concert of hope!

In a significant victory for LGBTQ+ rights in Texas, a federal judge has temporarily blocked the enforcement of SB 12, the nation’s first law explicitly banning LGBTQ+ student clubs, as well as restricted diversity initiatives in public schools and banning teachers from referring to trans students by their preferred first names, even if their parents support their child’s transition.

U.S. District Judge Charles Eskridge ruled that the Houston, Plano, and Katy school districts could not enforce this law, which was criticized by lawmakers like state Rep. Erin Zwiener for being “nakedly hateful.” The bill's proponents claimed it was necessary to protect children from perceived sexualization, while the opposition argued it unfairly censors constitutionally protected speech and undermines the safety and inclusivity of schools.

The lawsuit, brought by various advocacy groups including the ACLU of Texas and the Transgender Law Center, has highlighted the importance of Gender-Sexuality Alliances (GSAs) in fostering supportive environments for LGBTQ+ youth.

🌈🌷Our Spring concert is here! 🌷🌼

Confluence: Willamette Valley LGBT Chorus invites audiences throughout the Willamette Valley to experience the power of music to connect and uplift with Building Community: Rooted & Rising, the second concert of the chorus’s 26th Season.

Rooted & Rising centers on themes of resilience, growth, and shared humanity while celebrating both the roots that ground us & the collective strength that helps us rise.

Conducted by Artistic Director Jeffrey D. Witt, this concert features guest artist Claire Coulson, joined by interim principal accompanist Jon Stuber, bassist Gail Gage, and drummer Dennis McIntyre. Together, these artists bring depth, warmth, and energy to a program of uplifting and inspiring selections.

Audiences can look forward to a joyful mix of familiar favorites from musicals, movies, and traditional choral literature, thoughtfully curated to inspire hope, unity, and connection across generations and experiences. We hope you’ll join us!
