We’ve been actively involved in the suspension community since July 2001 and really became heavily involved in 2002. Our members are continually learning about the technical and personal sides of suspensions/ritualism, and pride ourselves on being the very best we can. We’ve traveled North America to work with many different suspension groups in order to push our knowledge and further the sense of community.

Just a reminder that the 2025 ONTARIO SUSCON is quickly approaching and it's going to be a hella good event! Loads of classes/workshops, plenty of space for cool suspensions, and generally just going to be rad. If you can make it out, I highly recommend it.

This page, and ihung in general, have been very quiet for a long time. We're not quite ready to break that silence as things are still in flux, but I (jason) wanted to make a quick post to let folks know that things are slowly happening behind the scenes here and we should have some public information _soon_.

It's taken me a couple of days to even begin to know how to write this. Anyone remotely familiar with ihung or body suspension in the midwest likely knows about Dave Kelso, founder of Modified Soul, piercer extraordinaire, Only Flesh bad idea aficionado, and oh so much more. Well, we lost him over the weekend, and it's oh so difficult.

Dave helped me in more ways than I can count. Any time I needed an escape or a place to crash, he was available and made me feel welcome. Modified Soul was my home away from home, and the place where we created so many memories. He pierced my tragus when I was 19 years old and despite him being just a year and change older than me, he was _a piercer_ and seemed so much cooler than I could ever be. Years later, once our twenty something egos allowed, we learned that we have so much in common and became a team. We collaborated on more suspensions than I could ever count.

Remember that feeling you had when Dave pulled the ropes and lifted you free from the ground? Take that strength and strive to make the world a better place.

I don't know what else there is to say. Please be good to one another, be gentle on yourselves, and know that you are loved.

I love you Dave, and you are sorely missed.

Hey all, it’s the end of the year and more importantly the beginning of a new. We are working on a lot of new stuff for the near future and getting back into regular “Suspension Days”.
I would like anyone who is part of our circle to give 3 words that clearly reflect what “suspension” means to you. It’s for a small project that we will fill everyone in on after we get everyone’s words.
