The Ohio Geological Society hosted the 2025 Meeting of the Eastern Section of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists today at the Boat House in Columbus. This one-day meeting featured 12 technical presentations, ten posters and was a well-attended success. AAPG honors and awards were presented during lunch. One honoree was Gordon Baird who received the John T, Galey Memorial Award for his contribution to the study of Paleozoic stratigraphy. Thanks to all at OGS and the Eastern Section for your efforts to make this meeting happen.

The 2025 OGS Golf Outing "THE PORK CHOP" at Chapel Hill Golf Course was sold out . The rain moved out by start time and the weather only improved as the day continued. The OGS Annual Golf Outing "THE PORK CHOP" was a smashing success. Beautiful weather, a challenging course and one-inch thick pork chops made for a good time. Low score for the scramble was 51 !! Thanks to the Chapel Hill Golf Course crew for running a smooth outing.
