Girls Inc. of Columbus

Girls Inc. of Columbus Our mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold in an equitable society. The Girls Inc.

Experience combines people, environment, and programming to empower girls to succeed. Trained staff and volunteers build lasting, mentoring relationships in girls-only spaces that are physically and emotionally safe and where girls find a sisterhood of support with shared drive, mutual respect, and high expectations. Hands-on, research-based programs provide girls with the skills and knowledge to

set goals, overcome obstacles, and improve academic performance. Informed by girls and their families, we also work with policymakers to advocate for legislation and initiatives that increase opportunities for girls. At Girls Inc., girls grow up Strong (healthy), Smart (educated), and Bold (independent).

A special thank you to Sandi Richmond, Girls Inc. alumna and owner of With an Eye Greeting Cards, and Tamara Pizarro, Community School Coordinator at United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley, for leading an engaging activity centered on mentorship, connection, and personal growth.

Through an affirmation-based prompt, our girls had the opportunity to reflect on the positive impact mentors have had in their lives and write a heartfelt message to a current or former mentor. This meaningful activity encouraged gratitude, strengthened connections, and reinforced the importance of mentorship while helping girls build confidence and self-awareness.

Interested in making a difference in the lives of girls? Join us as a volunteer, community partner, or donor. For more information, please contact Girls Inc. of Columbus and Phenix-Russell at 706-683-0809, Option 1.
