Last evening we located the center point of the fuel filler cap by creating a plexiglass template. We transferred the center point to the leading edge skin. Then using a fly cutter created the hole for the fuel filler tube installation

FREE AIRPLANE RIDES!! June 13 at 9am will be our next Young Eagles Rally! Our registration is now open and we have limited slots. To begin with, we have placed a limit on the number of registrations allowed for youth that have previously been flown. We are wanting to try and get others that have never flown before. This past Friday 10th we had a busy visit with a group of around +28 students from Martinsville HS. They are participating in the Aviation program there. The visit included; ATC tower tour, the A-BAM museum and C-119 tour, performing a preflight on a C172, and a visit to the chapter hangar. They got a look at a finished Sonex, the Zenith build, and our chapter Sim center. They wrapped up with a presentation at the IvyTech hangar and the Lift Academy.

Young Eagles!! We are having out first event of 2026 on May 9th at 9am. We are offering FREE airplane rides to youth ages 8-17.
