A friend of mine in Charleston SC caught these images this morning @ 6:30am of an unmanned Falcon 9 launch out of Florida. Just some stunning photos. Just prior to this they saw the ISS fly overhead, it pays to get up early. (Credit: Keith Dickinson)

Members of EAA729 hosted a Sonex Fly-in at Columbus this past weekend for builders, fliers, and enthusiasts of Sonex aircraft. We had 11 aircraft here, while 4 of them weren’t Sonex, the pilots are currently building. Over 20 attendees from Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, and across Indiana participated. Thanks to support from EAA729, KBAK airport team and our ATC for helping with this inaugural event.

Today’s Young Eagles Rally will have a slight delay getting started due to the fog. We are hoping to get going by 10am but we have to wait for the fog to burn off. Please continue to monitor our page for updates.

Also note we have a few pilots that are not able to make it due to their annual inspections being delayed this month. This may cause a slight delay also in today’s flights.
