The Doug Campbell Courage Award was established in August of 2015. Doug was battling pancreatic cancer and had shown a courageous attitude in facing the fight of his life. Doug Campbell created The Central Ohio Field Hockey Officials' Association. In doing so, he reshaped the face of the field hockey officials association that has become a model for the State. The growth that emerged was due to hi
s leadership, yet passionate caring personality which is his trademark. This award has been created to recognize his honor, integrity and love of the sport and will be presented toward the end of the season to a field hockey player or players in the area that have demonstrated that same courageous heart as they have faced their own battles. Selected recipients will be awarded monies which will be used towards academic or field hockey activities.
