German School Columbus

German School Columbus German School Columbus (GSC) is a program of the American Center for German Culture (ACGC), a nonprofit building community through language and culture.

GSC offers German language and cultural classes for learners of all ages. The instruction is mostly held in German (immersion) but occasionally English can be used if deemed necessary for understanding. Our instructors are predominantly native speakers, as well as teachers of German with many years of experience. We are always looking for qualified German Language instructors for both our classroo

🙋‍♀️ Help Us Bring Kleine Entdecker to Life! 🇩🇪

As we explore launching Kleine Entdecker (Little Explorers), a monthly Parent & Me German Club for ages 0–3, we're looking for community members who may be interested in helping facilitate a session during the year.

Do you:
✅ Speak German?
✅ Enjoy working with young children and families?
✅ Want to share German language and culture with the next generation?

We're seeking volunteers and facilitators who could help lead songs, stories, crafts, or activities. No year-long commitment required—we hope to build a team where individuals can help with one or more sessions throughout the year.

🌟 We're Exploring Something New! 🌟

Several families have asked about German-language opportunities for children 3 and under, and we're excited to explore a new program for the 2026–2027 school year:

🇩🇪 Kleine Entdecker (Little Explorers) 🇩🇪

A monthly Parent & Me German Club designed for children ages 0–3 and their caregivers. Each themed one-hour session would include songs, stories, movement, play, and simple German language exposure in a fun and welcoming environment.

We're currently gathering interest as we plan for a possible September launch.
