Nurses are trained to be able to recognize domestic violence and numerous health conditions, however they have "not been given the tools to ask people about trafficking,” according to Susan Blume, a nurse in north Texas. Blume has been trying to push further training for recognizing human trafficking victims to help prevent it, and now finally, it is coming into place. She has been training nurses to identify human trafficking victims in emergency rooms.

Huge news from Tennessee! Four traffickers have been arrested! They were caught by an underground investigation by the Human Trafficking Unit of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and local enforcement that lured them by poating decoy advertisements.

Did you that climate change is directly correlated with an increase in human trafficking? As temperatures continue to increase, the greatest affected areas are tropical locations, but this also impacts people worldwide. A prime example of this is in Indonesia, where palm oil extraction is a multi billion dollar industry. However, with the climate becoming more unpredictable there, people are forced to migrate to find more work and become vulnerable. Stay tuned for more information!
