We are so close friends & family we a bit more help with the Autism Scholarship budget approval.
Currently the scholarship is $20,000 asking to be moved to $27,000; Currently a family with 1 child costs just for tuition/ therapies runs on the average $32,000-$36,000. The increase would relieve more of the burden from these families:
Update on Autism Scholarship:
Yesterday, the Ohio Senate passed an updated version of the state budget that includes the increase of the Autism and Jon Peterson Scholarships to a maximum of $27,000. Now members of the House and Senate will begin working on a final budget agreement to send to the Governor before the end of the month.
If you sent letters to your own senator and representative last week, thank you! The same letter can be used to send to members of the conference committee and the leaders of the House and Senate, their contact information is below.
Special thanks goes to the staff of School Choice Ohio who have been advocates for our kids and from whom I plagiarized most of this email.

It's not enough to make excuses about not getting enough sleep. Time to work toward getting enough sleep as a goal. Everyone here understands that autism families have special challenges with this, but it's worth working toward!

Limit your bed activities to sleep and s*x.

A great resource!!

"Kids don't like exercise because exercise doesn't make sense. It's just moving for the sake of moving. It doesn't make any sort of sense whatsoever. It's not for the purpose of fun, it's just a modern thing that we adults have created to compensate for our choices to be sedentary the bulk of the time." - Katy Bowman, Aligned and Well
