How often do we humans deter the process in the name of justice.? To incarcerate someone because they can’t pay a fine, perhaps limits their ability to pay the fine in the future. When we partner for solution in our communities, we combine our resources to help those members of the community who are not in a place to make things better for themselves. This mindset is the future of the Chattahoochee River Conservancy. An organization built to help identify the problem and assist in solutions. Our River is perhaps the most valuable resource in our community. If not for the River, the native people, and therefore the settlers, may never have chosen this site. For too many years now we have continued wrong story with the River through our various practices for personal gain. It is time for our community to right the story around this valley and continue to partner together to restore the flow and health of this great river. Attempts to force others to align with our thoughts or our belief systems ceases operational effectiveness. May we instead continue to offer a solution that the community will be drawn towards.

Summer’s not over yet. Nothing like cooling off in the water.

We’ve had a lot of rain this week. That is always known to spike the levels of our results from testing. Use caution in shallow warm still areas. Other than that things are looking pretty good. Let’s enjoy the water! We will be at city Mills tomorrow morning starting at 11 AM. We have been delayed due to water generation overnight. We hope to see you then.

The gate to the river looks open this morning. What a great day to enjoy cooling off in our local resource. Swim guide results to come at 12 PM. Have a great weekend.

Please come celebrate in the solution with us. We will be cleaning up the two beach areas in Phenix city.
Long sleeves, long pants, boots, and eye protection are suggested. Bring work gloves if you have them; we will have some to hand out as well.
- Look for our truck and table for sign-in
- Cleanup starts at 8am
- Weigh-in starts at 10am.

We look forward to stepping into action with each of you this Saturday.
- We will provide a wash station at the check-in table.
Safety Vest, trash bags, buckets, and grabbers will be provided. Drinking Water will be available to fill your reusable containers.
