Today was all about balance, a little adventure and a lot of fun!

We kicked off the morning exploring Salem, did some spooky shopping 👻, enjoyed great food, and then headed back for a wonderful dinner. The night wrapped up with good music and dancing! 💃

We work hard, but we live life too 😉💛

What a DAY for NAWIC Columbus at the NAWIC National Conference! 😊

We started at the Construction Zone selling more of our awesome T-shirts, joined 741 attendees at the annual meeting, soaked up so much knowledge in breakout sessions and had a meal with our NAWIC Chapter #97 (Louisville and Southern Indiana) 🙌

Our very own President Sandy Youssef received the Bright Star Award from our NAWIC National President Kelly Aust! 👏

This top award recognizes Sandy’s leadership in driving our chapter’s growth, impact, and momentum over the past two years. In Sandy's own words"

Day 2 in Boston did not disappoint!

Our members Laurie Termeer, CWCA & Colleen Cross had joined us in Boston, and we had a HUGE success selling our awesome T-shirts designed by Jessi Marcincavage & Julie Gillispie-Carle and printed by The Awesome Company, who proudly employs individuals with autism💙

We wrapped up the day with happy hour with our NAWIC sisters 🥂👷‍♀️

✨ What a way to kick off the conference! ✨

Day 1 was packed with excitement:

Our Chapter President, Sandy Youssef, joined the invite-only Construction Congress alongside top industry leaders—diving into big conversations about today’s challenges, the future of our industry, and how NAWIC can continue growing programs that support women in construction. 💪

We wrapped up the day with a happy hour full of amazing connections, and shoutout to Julie Gillispie-Carle, Sarah Copeland & Darla Tovar for ending the night strong setting up our booth for tomorrow! 🎉

👷‍♀️ Steel toes, strong voices, and sisterhood!

NAWIC Columbus had the privilege of teaming up with Women@Bechtel for their first-ever Steel Toed Sisterhood event — and wow, what a day!

With nearly 40 incredible trades women in attendance, we were honored to share NAWIC’s mission, spotlight the opportunities we offer to women in the trades, and talk about the power of our membership and community.

✨WOW, what a day! NAWIC Columbus teamed up with ACEC Ohio & WTS Columbus yesterday to host an incredible Women in Leadership Forum and it was a HUGE success! 🙌

Stephanie Nowak, MBA kicked things off with a powerful and engaging talk on stress management 🎤 Then came an inspiring panel featuring amazing leaders Joy Bledsoe, Jessi Marcincavage, Joy M. Lanham and our moderator Sandy Youssef — sharing real talk on leadership journeys, barriers, allyship, and more. 💪💬

With nearly 60 attendees (yes, men showed up too), this was a great conversation. A massive THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this event possible. 🙏
