When we began our journey over 35 years ago, Uptown's revitalization efforts kept these key goals in mind: 1) accelerate the renewal of Columbus' urban core, 2) recruit investors, retailers and tenants to the area, 3) promote a vibrant and diverse Uptown, and 4) ensure Uptown is clean, safe, and attractive. Our charter encourages and supports quality development and redevelopment in Uptown Columbu

s. We are responsible for the management and coordination of revitalization initiatives throughout the area. Uptown’s remarkable transformation began with incredible visionary leaders and continues under the direction of a 30-member Board of Directors. Uptown is proud to note many signature projects that have helped reshape the area such as the renovation of the Springer Opera House, the addition of the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, enhanced streetscapes, the creation of RushSouth Whitewater Park, new art installations, pocket parks, and more. Uptown has become a prime destination for shopping and is home to the most creative and unique dining experiences in the city. Living in Uptown comes with many options of walkable living from modern to historic architecture. Residents can choose from a variety of condos, apartments, lofts, and homes. Recreation options are endless with everything from a splash pad and park for the kids, free Friday night concerts, nightlife, and more. Families and singles alike enjoy the Uptown lifestyle. On September 26, Woodruff Park will transform into a full day of fall fun for the whole family—with food trucks, a pumpkin patch, hay rides, a petting zoo, kids’ activities, seasonal treats, and plenty of fall-themed fun. And the best part? You don’t have to leave Columbus to experience a true fall festival! We’re bringing the magic of the season right to Uptown.

Fall Market Days on Broadway start THIS Saturday! We're kicking off our new Fall Market Days this Saturday, September 5, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM! Come out to Broadway and spend your Saturday morning shopping local, supporting small businesses, and checking out some of the vendors joining us for our first fall market. 🤩🌻

Want to be a vendor this Saturday? There is still time to join us! You must complete your vendor application and submit your payment by tomorrow to participate in Saturday's market. We can't wait to kick off Fall Market Days and see you on Broadway! 🍁🛍️

Get ready for a festive fall takeover in Uptown Columbus! From October 1–31, Broadway will be filled with fun, creativity, and a whole lot of fall spirit! Last year’s Scarecrow Trail was such a hit, we’re making it even bigger and better this year! 🙌🤎

Businesses, nonprofits, organizations, and community groups can choose how they want to join the fun:
Decorate a Hay Bale — your hay bale will be displayed in the medians along Broadway!
Decorate a Scarecrow — go the traditional route and create your own one-of-a-kind scarecrow to display on Broadway!

We’ll be looking for the best scarecrow AND best hay bale on Broadway! We’ll have a People’s Choice vote on our page, so bring your creativity and see if your creation can win the title of Broadway’s favorite! This is a fun way to show off your business or organization, bring some fall fun to Uptown, AND support Uptown Columbus! Ready to join the fun? It’s finally time to kick off Uptown's Friday Night Concert Series presented by Aflac!This Friday, local favorite Peggy Jenkins & the Bizness will take the stage and get the series started with an evening full of great live music, good food, drinks, and a whole lot of fun on the 1000 block of Broadway. Bring the whole family, grab your friends, and make a night of it in Uptown!

Want to get the night started early? Head over to BANKS Food Hall for the official pre-game spot before the concert! Grab some drinks, hang out with friends, and then make your way to Broadway for the show. 🍔🍹🎶

And this Friday is going to have a little Dolly twist! Peggy will be paying tribute to Dolly Parton by performing a song or two during the concert, and we’ll keep the Dolly hits going with Music BINGO during intermission! And, of course, we need everyone to come dressed in their best Dolly-approved outfit! Pull out the rhinestones, boots, big hair, and all the Dolly sparkle you’ve got. Let’s have some fun and celebrate the night the way we all know Dolly would want us to! It’s going to be a night of great music, great food, and even better company. Peter has made an incredible difference to Uptown Columbus, the BID, and our entire community. His years of dedication, passion, and commitment have left a lasting impact that will be appreciated for years to come. We’re incredibly grateful for everything Peter has given to our team and our community. While we’re excited to see him begin this well-deserved next chapter, he will certainly be missed! We’re officially ONE WEEK away from Friday Night Concerts being back in Uptown! Next Friday, we’re kicking off our Fall Friday Night Concert Series on Broadway with Peggy Jenkins! We can’t wait to fill Broadway with live music, friends, and the Uptown community again. 🎤🎶🙌
