Glow-K 5K Race

Glow-K 5K Race Glow-in-the-dark 5k run, 8:00pm on October 13, 2018 Supporting The Ranger Scholarship Fund. Register The Glow-K race will start at 9:00 PM (ET). Ready, Set, GLOW!

Glow-K is a glow-in-the-dark 5k run that will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 on the Columbus State University campus. The event will benefit the Fort Benning Wounded Warrior Association, an organization that assists and raises awareness for injured service members. Glow-K has raised over 35K for the Wounded Warriors in the past three years. Runners should show up at least 30 minutes prior to comp

lete registration and prepare for the race. Runners and those in attendance should wear bright, neon colored clothing and glow-in-the-dark accessories! Glow lights will illuminate the course as participants progress through the run. Registration starts at $20 per individual, which includes:
- 1 Glow-K 2017 T shirt (sizes range from S-2XL)
- 1 official Glow-K 2017 race-bib and number
- 3-4 assorted color glow sticks
- 1 Bottle of Water

This year will also feature awards for Best Dressed and Most Dollars Raised by a Runner! The finish line will include a large pavilion where participants can enjoy LOUD Rave-style music performed LIVE by a DJ with bright, neon and glow-in-the-dark lights!

It’s Race Day everybody! Starting at 2pm we will begin packet pick up in between the softball field and Lumpkin basketball gym on CSU main campus.

The race is set to begin at 8pm but we ask that everyone arrive 30 minutes or 1 hour early.

Attention:

We are still on for Race day! CSU campus is scheduled to reopen Friday morning following the passing of Hurricane Michael. Glow K is a go and we look forward to seeing everyone out there.

Due to the hurricane we are offering a hurricane special through race day with registration going back to $20 per runner.

Register now to reserve your shirt, shirt orders will be finalized today at 4:00. Anyone registering after 4:00 pm today will be first come first served for shirts the day of race.

A second run of shirts will be made if necessary concluding the race!

We are two weeks away from our best Glow K yet. This year we will be raffling off a few items including Kinnucans gift cards, a Columbus white water rafting trip, and a Propane Smoker.

Orange Theory Fitness will also be present for our pre race stretch and they will be giving away some items as well.

Our Story

Glow-K is a glow-in-the-dark 5k run that will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 on the Columbus State University campus.

The event will benefit The Ranger Scholarship Fund, an organization that awards merit-based scholarships to eligible dependent family members of current and veteran Rangers of the 75th Ranger Regiment.

The Glow-K race will start at 8:00 PM (ET). Runners should show up at least 45 minutes prior to complete registration and prepare for the race. Runners and those in attendance should wear bright, neon colored clothing and glow-in-the-dark accessories! Black Lights and various lighting devices will illuminate the course.
