🇺🇸🤠 What a Weekend at the Chattco Rodeo

This past weekend, the National Infantry Association had a great time connecting with our community at the 6th Annual PEPSI Chattahoochee International Pro Rodeo!

From meeting new faces and enjoying the rodeo to celebrating the official dedication of the National Infantry Association Arena, it was a weekend to remember!

Our entire NIA team, including COL (R) Rob Choppa, was proud to be part of the festivities. We also had the honor of bringing out Mr. Jack Wingate as the Distinguished Veteran Guest of Honor.

Thank you to everyone who came out, stopped by, and spent time with us! We love opportunities to connect with the community we proudly serve. 🇺🇸

🎥 Here's a look back at an incredible weekend!

Thirty days of brutal fighting. A ridge whose name still carries the cost.

On October 13, 1951, Soldiers of the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, and their attached French Battalion secured Heartbreak Ridge in Korea after a month of fierce combat.

Steep terrain. Fortified bunkers. Repeated counterattacks. Infantrymen fought for every gain, backed by armor, artillery, engineers, and air support.

Behind that victory were men who carried wounded buddies, stepped forward when leaders fell, and kept fighting beside one another. We honor their courage—and those who never came home.

Did someone in your family serve in the Korean War? Share their name, unit, or a story in the comments. Help us keep their service remembered.
