When we receive items we can’t use, we save them for Valley Rescue Mission. This week we filled a good bit of the truck! Valley will either put the items in their shop or use for rags or textile recycling.
Believe it or not, we get random items sometimes, so we’ll send them along. This week it was curtains and tap shoes. 😬
Clothing that is too tiny or too frumpy/mature gets sent along as well.
If an item is received that is stained, we’ll often treat the stain and wash the clothing. If the stain remains, we send it to Valley. The same with ripped or torn items. Or things that can’t be worn for school or play.
