Ephesus SDA Columbus, Ohio The Ephesus SDA Church exists to prepare people for the second coming of Christ. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.

Adventists believe in the Trinity - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone. When He returned to

heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything--the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us--is a part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.

Good Morning To God’s Family!

DAILY NUGGET

Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying, Praise ye the Lord for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves. Judges 5:1, 2. (KJV)

Deborah and Barak

When Israel turned away from God, they fell under severe oppression and lived in fear for many years. In their distress, they finally humbled themselves and cried out to the Lord. God answered by raising up Deborah, a faithful prophetess, and Barak, a willing leader, to deliver His people.

Working together under God’s direction, they led Israel to victory. After the battle, Deborah and Barak gave all the glory to God, recognizing that the triumph belonged to Him and not to human strength. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 259 & The Signs of the Times, June 16, 1881}.

Contemporary Application: God often accomplishes His purposes through people who are willing to trust and obey Him. When challenges seem overwhelming, remember that victory comes through dependence on God, not merely through human ability.

Prayer: Lord, give me a willing heart like Deborah and Barak. Help me to trust Your guidance, serve faithfully, and always give You the glory for every victory You bring into my life. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

Good Morning To God’s Family!

And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain. Exodus 3:11, 12. (KJV)

Moses

When God called Moses to lead Israel, his first response was humility: “Who am I?” He recognized his limitations and felt unqualified for the task. Yet God was not looking for self-confidence; He was looking for a willing servant who would depend on divine strength.

Moses’ life teaches that God often uses those who trust Him rather than themselves. As we accept God’s calling and rely on His guidance, He equips us to accomplish far more than we could ever do alone. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 257 & The Signs of the Times, August 11, 1881}.

Contemporary Application: Do not let feelings of weakness or inadequacy keep you from serving God. When He calls, trust His promise: “Certainly I will be with thee.”

Prayer: Father, thank You that You do not call only the strong and capable. Help me to trust Your presence, depend on Your strength, and faithfully fulfill the work You have given me to do. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

Good Morning To God’s Family!

DAILY NUGGET

And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and Lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. Genesis 45:7, 8. (KJV)

Joseph

Joseph’s life is a powerful reminder that God can bring good out of difficult circumstances. Though betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery, Joseph chose to trust God rather than become bitter. What others intended for harm, God used to accomplish His greater purpose.

Wherever Joseph went, he remained faithful, honest, and God-centered. His integrity opened doors for God to bless not only his life but also the lives of many others through him. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 256 & The Youth’s Instructor, March 11, 1897}.

Contemporary Application: When life does not go as planned, trust that God is still at work. Remain faithful in the small things, and allow your character to reflect Christ regardless of your circumstances.

Prayer: Lord, help me to trust You in every season of life. Give me the faithfulness and integrity of Joseph, and use my circumstances to accomplish Your purposes and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

Good Morning To God’s Family!

DAILY NUGGET

After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.... And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness. Genesis 15:1-6. (KJV)

Abraham

Abraham was not chosen because of fame, power, or position. God chose him because of his faith and willingness to obey. Trusting God’s promises, even when he could not see their fulfillment, Abraham became a channel of blessing to his family and to future generations.

His life teaches that righteousness comes through faith in God. By leading his household in the ways of the Lord and living a life of integrity, Abraham reflected God’s character and pointed others to the coming Redeemer. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 255 & The Youth’s Instructor, March 4, 1897}.

Contemporary Application: God can use ordinary people who trust Him completely. Like Abraham, choose to believe God’s promises, live faithfully, and influence your family and community for Christ.

Prayer: Father, give me the faith of Abraham. Help me to trust Your promises, walk in obedience, and be a blessing to those around me. May my life reflect Your character each day. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

Good Morning To God’s Family!

DAILY NUGGET

And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Genesis 7:1. (KJV)

Noah

Noah lived in a generation that largely rejected God’s warnings, yet he remained faithful and obedient. While others chose their own way, Noah trusted God’s word, preached repentance, and prepared the ark according to God’s instructions. His life reminds us that faith often means standing for truth even when the majority chooses otherwise.

The account also reveals God’s mercy. Before judgment came, He provided a way of escape and gave people opportunity to respond. Sadly, many rejected the invitation to be saved. Today, God still calls His people to trust His Word and follow Him faithfully. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 254 & The Signs of the Times, April 1, 1886}.

Contemporary Application: When God speaks through His Word, respond with obedience rather than delay. Like Noah, choose faithfulness even when it is unpopular or misunderstood.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me the faith and courage of Noah. Help me to trust Your Word, obey Your voice, and remain faithful regardless of the choices of others. Keep me ready for Your leading each day. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

Good Morning To God’s Family!

DAILY NUGGET

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Hebrews 11:5. (KJV)

Enoch

Enoch lived in a time of widespread wickedness, yet he chose to walk closely with God. His life demonstrated that obedience to God is possible when a person remains connected to Him through faith, prayer, and daily surrender. As a teacher and witness for God, Enoch not only believed the truth but lived it before others.

His experience reminds us that a close relationship with God is not reserved for a few spiritual giants of the past. Every believer is invited to walk with God, reflect Christ’s character, and bear fruit in service for His kingdom. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 253 & The Upward Look, 228}.

Contemporary Application: Spend time with God each day through prayer and His Word. The more closely you walk with Him, the more your life will reflect His presence and influence those around you.

Prayer: Father, help me to walk with You as Enoch did. Strengthen my faith, deepen my relationship with You, and make my life a testimony of Your grace and power. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
